How does the Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD work?

The Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD delivers single or multi wavelengths of Blue 415nm, Red 633nm and Near Infrared 830nm to target specific skin concerns. These 3 lightwaves are the industry leading and most clinically evidenced wavelengths for LED phototherapy treatment.

Am I suitable for a course of treatment with Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD?

Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD is a painless treatment, due to the advanced cooling system which controls the heat energy emitted on to the skin. It’s a gentle procedure which does not involve needles or skin ablation, therefore most patients can enjoy this treatment for a range of skin concerns.

However, at Leicester MediSpa, we will always undertake a pre-treatment consultation, so that we can assess your individual skin concerns and expectations, as well as check your medical history for any contraindications, which may prevent or restrict the treatment from going ahead.

Once we are satisfied that a course of Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD treatments will be both safe and effective for your unique requirements, we can schedule your first treatment session.

What happens during a Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD treatment?

It’s as simple as lying back and relaxing, whilst the light emits on to your skin. You will be required to wear eye protection and just rest, whilst the specific light energy gets to work kickstarting cell regeneration.

There is no discomfort or need for topical anaesthetic and you can go back to your daily activities immediately after your treatment. Each treatment lasts for up to 20 minutes as a stand-alone treatment or 10 minutes when combined with another treatment.

How many treatment sessions of Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD will I need?

This depends on your skin concerns and requirements. The recommended course will be discussed with you in your pre-treatment consultation. We do also recommend regular top up treatments to maintain your final results.
